One real asset to our music at St. Mark’s is our small, but powerful pipe organ, which was built by the Delaware Pipe Organ Company.

Robert Synakowski (Rob) is St. Mark’s organist, a Syracuse native who holds a degree in Church Music with concentration in Organ from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey.  He has been organist at several churches in Syracuse, with a five-year stint of studying and teaching in Krakow, Poland, in between.  He has also been the organist at St. Luke’s in Camillus for the past seven years.

make a joyful noise…

Our parish likes to express its worship joyfully through our music.

We sing Hymns from our 1982 Episcopal Hymnal and mix in selections from our denomination’s Wonder Love and Praise. We also use a delightful hymnal entitled “Rejoice and Be Glad!” which is a compilation of music found in supplemental Episcopal hymnals and it complements the traditional hymnal and adds much variety to our church services.
